I am the dirt in the missing leg
I wonder how long a season of autumn will last
I hear the gunshots being aimed at me
I see blood going down like a stream
I want my death to be memorial
I am the dirt in the missing leg
I pretend I don't care what happens to me
I feel sorrow for those whose have dropped down and down
I touch the knot that is burning my bones
I worry that I won't make it far
I cry tears of pain, but nothing comes out
I am the dirt in the missing leg
I understand that you live life once
I say"-don't kill me, don't; -they can sew it back on"-
I dream that I'll make it, and see my family again
I try not to feel the pain
I hope my blood doesn't run out
I am the dirt in the missing leg

I am poem

"I am" Poem
I am the moon, and the stars
I wonder why it's so high above
I hear the night sleep with difficulties
I see the stars pointing at me
I want the darkness to last longer
I am the moon, and the stars
I pretend the sky is my friend
I feel happy when the clouds make me disappear
I touch a hot comet heading my way
I worry if I don't see anyone around me
I am the moon, and the stars
I understand I might not live long
I say sleep tight,and goodnight
I dream that people one day will thank me for leading there way in those dark days
I try to shine, and show my best
I hope everything will be great
I am the moon, and the stars

"The Medal of Honor being receive."

I am a high school student that is attending to the JROTC program. One day in school my instructor, starts talking to the class about the Medal of Honor. He was explaining that soon the class was going to write an essay, but first we watched a movie, so class could have an idea about what was the essay going to be about. I t took us at least three days to watch the complete movie. After the movie was over,we need to answer three questions what is the medal of honor? What does the medal of honor mean to me? and the other question was what do think the meaning of statement "sometimes I think its easier wining the medal of honor than it is wearing it?" These are going to be some of the questions.
The medal of honor is the highest military decoration awarded by the united states government. The medal of honor has been presented to men and women who have disguised themselves in service to their country. The medal may only be awarded to a person who was on active military service at the time of the incident.
To me the Medal of honor is something important that some people might receive for doing a sacrifice for their nation. In the movie many people said that they earn the medal of honor because they were just doing their job.Sometimes its true because during war people do so may things unexpected that some don't even think of what might happen to them, some soldiers are just on the same place at the right time, that's why I admire them because now people don't do anything for anyone else, now they all think for themselves and if they do something sometimes people expect to receive something in returned and that's not how it works, the Medal of honor is receive for doing an extraordinary job.

Dear James E.Livingston
Dear Captain James E. Livingston,
My name is Alejandra Soriano.I am a sixteen year old student at Farragut Career Academy High School.I am writing to Thank you for, your contribution to our nation, and for all your hard work. You have helped our nation by fighting and standing out against our enemy. You also have risk your life to protect others. When I first read your story I thought it was pretty amazing, because you lead a group of men into dangerous positions, where the enemy fired intently. You were also brave because even though you were wounded and unable to walk, you remained in a dangerous exposed area, you supervised the evacuation of casualties. Then when you were assured that your men were safe, you allowed for you to be evacuated. That's something that many people don't do anymore.
While reading it I would think that, I would I would have never survived anything like that, but it's still good to hear that there's still people out there who put other people first instated of themselves.
Now that you are a retired veteran I would like to wish you health, and recovery for all your wounds, it might have been a long time ago that this happen but, some wounds are not only physical but also emotionallly.I would like to thank you for letting me write you this letter,You might not believe it I but admire you,for doing something amazing, such as risking your life,to protect others. It is interesting because sometimes people might only be doing their job and by doing that ,that might lead them to many dangerous or great experiences, that you would never forget. Now I learn that it's good to take care of yourself, but also to think about others.so again thank you for letting me read your story and writing you this letter.
Sincerely,Cadet Sergeant

There are no extraordinary circumstances men...just extraordinary circumstances that ordinary men are forced to deal with. by:William Haslsey

James E. Livingston
Rank:Captain, US Marines Corps,Company E, 2d Battalion,4th Marines,9th Marine Amphibious Brigade.
Location of Action:Dai Do,Republic of Vietnam
Date of Action:May 2,1968.
Citation: Major General James Everett Livingston was born on January 12,1940 in Towns,Georgia. He is a retired United States Marine Corps general. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroic actions in 1968 during the Vietnam War.Maj Gen Livingston served on active duty in the Marine Corps over 33 years before retiring on September 1,1995.His last assignment was the Commanding General of Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans, Louisiana. Skillfully employing screening agents Captain Livingston maneuvered his men to assault positions across 500 meters of dangerous open rice paddy while under intense enemy fire.Ignoring hostile rounds impacting near him,he fearlessly led his men in a savage assault against enemy emplacements within the village.Although twice painfully wounded by grenade fragments,he refused medical treatment and courageously led his men in the destruction of over 100 mutually supporting bunkers, driving the remaining enemy from their positions and relieving the pressure on the stranded Marine company. As the two companies consolidated positions and relieving the pressure on the stranded Marine company. As two companies consolidated positions and evacuated casualties,a third company passed through the friendly lines launching an assault on the adjacent village of Dinh To,only to be halted by furious counterattack of an enemy battalion.Disregarding the situation,Captain Livingston boldly maneuvered the remaining effective men of his company forward, joined forces with the heavily engaged Marines, and halted the enemy's counterattack.Wounded a third time and unable to walk, remained in a dangerously exposed are, deploying his men to more tenable positions and supervising the evacuation of casualties.Only when assured of the safety of his men did he allow himself to be evacuated.Captain Livingston's actions uphold the highest traditions of the Marines Corps and United States Naval Service.
I would like to thank you for being so brave, not many people would stand out to protect other people before themselves.I mean you risk your life to save, and protect others while being wounded three times and almost dieing that's brave. So thank you for being there just when we needed you.

" I have a dream "

'I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governors lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers'... by:Matin Luther King Jr.
This is part of what Martin Luther King Jr. said in his speech the bold part says that he wishes for little black boys and little black girls to join hands with little white boys little white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers,to me this means that he wants everyone to be treated the same and to have equal rights .Also to stop all segregations, because its not fair to be treated different just for your skin color.Another thing that I think he wants is for all violence to stop between black and white people.
