"The Medal of Honor being receive."

I am a high school student that is attending to the JROTC program. One day in school my instructor, starts talking to the class about the Medal of Honor. He was explaining that soon the class was going to write an essay, but first we watched a movie, so class could have an idea about what was the essay going to be about. I t took us at least three days to watch the complete movie. After the movie was over,we need to answer three questions what is the medal of honor? What does the medal of honor mean to me? and the other question was what do think the meaning of statement "sometimes I think its easier wining the medal of honor than it is wearing it?" These are going to be some of the questions.
The medal of honor is the highest military decoration awarded by the united states government. The medal of honor has been presented to men and women who have disguised themselves in service to their country. The medal may only be awarded to a person who was on active military service at the time of the incident.
To me the Medal of honor is something important that some people might receive for doing a sacrifice for their nation. In the movie many people said that they earn the medal of honor because they were just doing their job.Sometimes its true because during war people do so may things unexpected that some don't even think of what might happen to them, some soldiers are just on the same place at the right time, that's why I admire them because now people don't do anything for anyone else, now they all think for themselves and if they do something sometimes people expect to receive something in returned and that's not how it works, the Medal of honor is receive for doing an extraordinary job.

Dear James E.Livingston

Dear Captain James E. Livingston,

My name is Alejandra Soriano.I am a sixteen year old student at Farragut Career Academy High School.I am writing to Thank you for, your contribution to our nation, and for all your hard work. You have helped our nation by fighting and standing out against our enemy. You also have risk your life to protect others. When I first read your story I thought it was pretty amazing, because you lead a group of men into dangerous positions, where the enemy fired intently. You were also brave because even though you were wounded and unable to walk, you remained in a dangerous exposed area, you supervised the evacuation of casualties. Then when you were assured that your men were safe, you allowed for you to be evacuated. That's something that many people don't do anymore.
While reading it I would think that, I would I would have never survived anything like that, but it's still good to hear that there's still people out there who put other people first instated of themselves.
Now that you are a retired veteran I would like to wish you health, and recovery for all your wounds, it might have been a long time ago that this happen but, some wounds are not only physical but also emotionallly.I would like to thank you for letting me write you this letter,You might not believe it I but admire you,for doing something amazing, such as risking your life,to protect others. It is interesting because sometimes people might only be doing their job and by doing that ,that might lead them to many dangerous or great experiences, that you would never forget. Now I learn that it's good to take care of yourself, but also to think about others.so again thank you for letting me read your story and writing you this letter.

Sincerely,Cadet Sergeant
